Tether announced on 20 February 2026 that it is discontinuing CNH₮, its offshore-yuan stablecoin. Minting stopped immediately. Tether said it will end redemption support one year after the announcement, which is 20 February 2027, and will publish a separate reminder before the deadline. Until then Tether keeps redeeming CNH₮ as usual under its Terms of Service, on all supported blockchains.

Verified Tether customers: redeem CNH₮ through your tether.to account before the deadline, under Tether's normal redemption terms (minimums and fees apply).
Everyone else: sell or swap CNH₮ on an exchange or DEX that still has a market for it, or swap it to USD₮ or another asset you want to keep.
