Gravity Alpha Mainnet (chain 1625) stops on November 1, 2026: move G and stablecoins off now

Deadline: 1 November 2026 (14 days left)
After 1 Nov 2026: Gravity says assets remaining on Alpha Mainnet cannot be transferred; the network is unsettled in December 2026.
Checked against the official sources below on 18 October 2026.

Galxe's Gravity says Gravity Alpha Mainnet, its legacy L2 (Arbitrum Nitro, chain ID 1625), stops operating on 1 November 2026, and assets left on it after that date cannot be transferred. The G staking page on Galxe also closes that day. G, DAI and WBTC leave through the canonical Gravity Bridge (about a 7-day challenge period); USDC, USDT and ETH/WETH were issued by Stargate and can only leave through Stargate. Gravity L1 (chain 127001) is not affected.

1. The official route

  1. Staked G on Galxe: unstake in the G Staking Portal first. Unstaked G returns to the chain it was staked on (BNB Chain, Ethereum or Gravity Alpha). If it returns to Alpha, you still have to bridge it off.
  2. G, DAI, WBTC: open bridge.gravity.xyz, source Gravity Alpha Mainnet, destination Ethereum (or Gravity L1 for G). The canonical route has a ~7-day challenge before you can claim on Ethereum.
  3. USDC, USDT, ETH/WETH: these were issued by Stargate and the canonical bridge cannot withdraw them. Use Stargate with From = Gravity (Alpha Mainnet). USDC is listed as USDC.e on Stargate. Stargate settles in minutes and can send straight to Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain and others.
  4. Keep a little G on Alpha Mainnet for gas.

Questions people ask

When does Gravity Alpha Mainnet shut down?

Gravity says network operations conclude on 1 November 2026. Assets still on Alpha Mainnet after that date cannot be transferred. The G staking portal on Galxe closes the same day.

How do I move USDC off Gravity Alpha?

Use Stargate, not the Gravity bridge. USDC, USDT and ETH/WETH on Gravity Alpha were issued by Stargate, and the canonical bridge cannot withdraw them. On Stargate your USDC appears as USDC.e.

How long does the Gravity Alpha bridge take?

The canonical Gravity Bridge (for G, DAI and WBTC) has about a 7-day challenge period before you can claim on Ethereum. Stargate (for USDC.e, USDT, WETH) settles in minutes.

Is Gravity L1 shutting down too?

No. Only the legacy Gravity Alpha Mainnet (L2, chain ID 1625) is being retired. Gravity L1 (chain ID 127001) is Galxe's current network.

3. Moving funds onward

Relay does not quote routes out of Gravity Alpha, so we can't offer a fast exit from the chain itself. Once your assets reach Ethereum or another chain, the box below can move them onward.

Fast exit (optional, third-party bridge)

Routes through Relay, a public cross-chain bridge, straight from your browser. Includes a disclosed 0.2% Quietwork fee on top of Relay's own fee; the quote shows every fee before you sign. Non-custodial: you sign in your own wallet or send to a Relay deposit address. We never touch the funds.

Quotes are live from Relay. Nothing is sent until you confirm in your wallet or transfer to a deposit address.
