The ACX token is being deprecated: buyout and equity options close January 8, 2027
Deadline: 8 January 2027 (82 days left) After 8 Jan 2027: ACX has no governance, utility or economic function, and the exchange options may no longer be available. Checked against the official sources below on 18 October 2026.
Across Protocol has been transferred to Across, Inc. and the ACX token is sunsetting. Until 8 January 2027 holders can exchange ACX for USDC at a fixed $0.04375 per token (subject to sanctions screening) or, with KYC and a 250,000 ACX minimum, for AcrossCo equity. After 8 January 2027, ACX is deprecated with no governance, utility or economic function. The Across bridge itself keeps running.
1. The official route
If your ACX is on an exchange, withdraw it to a self-custody wallet first (Across has a guide).
Open the official portal at exchange.across.to (type it yourself), connect your wallet and choose the USDC buyout ($0.04375 per ACX) or the equity option.
Read the USDC Exchange Terms; the buyout is subject to sanctions screening.
2. Things that catch people out
The equity option needs KYC, a 250,000 ACX minimum and, for US applicants, accredited-investor status.
There is no reason to sell ACX on a DEX below $0.04375 while the buyout is open.
