Blast is shutting down: withdraw through the normal interface by October 26, 2026

Deadline: 26 October 2026 (9 days left)
After 26 Oct 2026: still withdrawable via the L1 bridge contracts (Blast says it will publish instructions), but harder.
Checked against official sources on 18 October 2026.

Blast announced on 2 October 2026 that it is winding down its Ethereum L2 because operating costs exceed revenue. The normal Blast bridge interface works until 26 October 2026. After that, assets stay withdrawable, but only by interacting directly with the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1. The withdrawal delay is being cut to 24 hours, after a pause of about a week while Blast unwinds its Lido position.

1. The official route (free apart from gas)

  1. Open blast.io/bridge (type it yourself), connect the wallet that holds the funds and open the Withdraw tab.
  2. Pick the asset. ETH arrives as ETH, USDB arrives on Ethereum as DAI, WETH must be unwrapped to ETH first, BLAST arrives as BLAST (Ethereum contract 0x71b9e0FD392713A14FCaB92D9aF7A21F47E3b1Fa).
  3. Submit on Blast (leave a little ETH on Blast for gas), wait up to ~1 hour, then Prove on Ethereum, wait the 1-day challenge period, then Claim/Finalize on Ethereum. You need ETH on Ethereum for the prove and claim transactions.
  4. Smart-contract wallets (for example a Safe) cannot use the bridge website; follow the contract-level guides in the Blast docs. Blast Mobile users have a separate guide.

2. Things that catch people out

3. A faster route

A fast bridge settles in seconds and needs no ETH on Ethereum, but on Blast it currently costs far more than the official route (liquidity is thin during the wind-down). The live quote below shows the exact cost. If you can wait a day and have a little ETH on Ethereum, the official bridge is cheaper.

Fast exit (optional, third-party bridge)

Routes through Relay, a public cross-chain bridge, straight from your browser. Includes a disclosed 0.2% Quietwork fee on top of Relay's own fee; the quote shows every fee before you sign. Non-custodial: you sign in your own wallet or send to a Relay deposit address. We never touch the funds.

Quotes are live from Relay. Nothing is sent until you confirm in your wallet or transfer to a deposit address.
