Lisk Chain shuts down October 31, 2026: the official bridge takes ~8 days

Deadline: 31 October 2026 (14 days left)
After 31 Oct 2026: Lisk says there is no way to withdraw or recover assets left on Lisk Chain.
Checked against official sources on 18 October 2026.

Lisk is closing Lisk Chain (its Ethereum L2) on 31 October 2026. Lisk says every asset on the chain must be withdrawn to Ethereum before then and that nothing left behind can be recovered. The official bridge follows the standard L2 withdrawal, which takes about 8 days, and staked LSK needs a further 3 days to unlock. LSK already on Ethereum or on an exchange is not affected.

1. The official route (free apart from gas)

  1. Staked LSK: in the Lisk Portal, unlock (penalty-free now), wait 3 days, unstake. Claim any staking rewards first. Close DeFi positions so the tokens are back in your wallet.
  2. Open bridge.lisk.com (type it yourself). Top row: Lisk network and your asset. Bottom row: Ethereum and the same asset (LSK to LSK, ETH to ETH). A different asset is a swap and shows "No routes found".
  3. About an hour later, submit the prove transaction on Ethereum. The 7-day challenge period starts at this step, so don't skip it.
  4. After 7 days, submit the claim transaction on Ethereum. You need a little ETH on Ethereum for prove and claim. Repeat for each asset.

2. Things that catch people out

3. A faster route

Relay currently returns live quotes for ETH out of Lisk Chain, settling in seconds. This is a third-party route, not the one Lisk recommends. If you use it, try a small amount first.

Fast exit (optional, third-party bridge)

Routes through Relay, a public cross-chain bridge, straight from your browser. Includes a disclosed 0.2% Quietwork fee on top of Relay's own fee; the quote shows every fee before you sign. Non-custodial: you sign in your own wallet or send to a Relay deposit address. We never touch the funds.

Quotes are live from Relay. Nothing is sent until you confirm in your wallet or transfer to a deposit address.
